Since 1999, Szubjektiv has been celebrating the annual UN Day Against Racism. This year, the opening ceremony of Comics Against Racism was our focus event. The evening also featured “Live Act Folk”, with Reka Nagy, and Dj Dermot (Irie Maffia Soundsystem).
Comics Against Racism is an art and social project, organised by Cospe, Italy, in cooperation with jfc, Germany, and Pistes Solidaires, France. The objective of the project is to fight against racism and discriminatory behaviours among young people by using an innovative approach based on humour and comics. The project also includes training courses about stereotypes, an international comics exhibition and video productions.
